Statement Mission Statement Townshippers’ Research & Cultural Foundation,
a non-profit organization, was established to promote the well-being of
our community through the solicitation and administration of gifts and
bequests from donors. The Eastern Townships is unique in its history and heritage. The people of the area are noted for their sense of community and commitment to institutions and organizations. It is the aim of the Foundation to support this commitment by directing funds towards projects in the fields of health and social services, arts and heritage, youth, education and research. Funding Criteria Each project must: 1.
fall into the category of health, social services, arts, heritage, 2.
provide the greatest good for the greatest number; and 3.
avoid duplication of projects carried out by other organizations. Types of projects funded or
partnership projects:
1. projects which
improve the quality of life for people in the community.
2. projects that
encourage young people to engage in their communities.
4. projects that
promote literacy.
5 projects that
promote creativity through art, drama and music.
6. projects that
provide education and assistance in mental and physical health.
7. projects that
expand the resources of community organizations such as libraries,
historical societies and museums.
8. projects that
promote the cultural exchanges between English-speaking and
French-speaking people.
